We are seeking full-time (≈38–40 hrs/week) and part-time (≈24–30 hrs/week) baristas who are enthusiastic about specialty coffee and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll prepare high-quality beverages, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
— Prepare espresso, filter coffee, matcha, and BUDDY BUDDY signature nut-butter drinks to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
— Provide warm, professional, and inclusive hospitality to every guest, ensuring an excellent customer experience from order to pickup.
— Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas, following NYC Department of Health regulations.
— Operate the POS system accurately and process transactions responsibly.
— Replenish supplies and ingredients throughout service to ensure smooth operations.
— Follow proper food handling, storage, and workplace-safety procedures, including strict nut-allergy management protocols.
— Lead opening and closing duties, including inventory checks, equipment cleaning, and restocking, while setting the tone for service and upholding BUDDY BUDDY standards throughout each shift.
— Participate in training sessions, cupping events, and advanced coffee education to continually develop skills and stay current with the New York City specialty-coffee scene.
— Demonstrate confident latte art (hearts, tulips, rosettas); a latte-art test is part of the hiring process.
— Support team members with light physical tasks such as moving boxes, receiving deliveries, and organizing stock.
— Act as a shift leader behind the bar, coordinating with café hosts and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth communication between front and back of house.
— 1+ year of barista experience in specialty coffee or high-volume cafés.
— Passion for coffee, hospitality, and providing exceptional guest experiences.
— Professional, reliable, and a strong team player eager to keep learning.
— Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
— Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
— Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
— Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States.
— Pay: $20.00/hour, plus pooled tips.

BUDDY BUDDY NoHo, Manhattan, NY
We are seeking full-time (≈38–40 hrs/week) and part-time (≈24–30 hrs/week) café hosts who love hospitality. You’ll greet guests, manage POS operations, assist with basic drink preparation, and keep the café welcoming and organized.
— Provide warm, professional, and inclusive hospitality to every guest.
— Manage the door and queue, welcome guests, guide crowd flow, and act as a sales assistant at the nut-butter retail corner, sharing product knowledge and processing sales.
— Operate the POS system accurately and process transactions responsibly.
— Share knowledge of our specialty coffee and house-made nut-butter products, recommending items and assisting with retail sales.
— Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas, following NYC Department of Health regulations and nut-allergy management protocols.
— Replenish supplies and ingredients throughout service to ensure smooth operations.
— Follow proper food handling, storage, and workplace-safety procedures.
— Work alongside baristas throughout every shift by assisting with basic drink preparation that doesn’t involve the espresso machine or latte art, and by handling other beverage and food prep as needed.
— Act as a liaison between the baristas, kitchen staff, and guests, supporting the kitchen team when required and helping coordinate communication between the café floor and the back of house.
— Lead or assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory checks, equipment cleaning, and restocking.
— Friendly, approachable, and professional with excellent customer-service skills.

— Replenish supplies and ingredients throughout service. Receive deliveries and help organize and rotate inventory.
— Follow proper food handling, storage, and workplace-safety procedures.
— Assist with opening and closing duties, including kitchen setup/breakdown and restocking.

— Previous kitchen prep, smoothie, or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.

We are seeking full-time (≈38–40 hrs/week) and part-time (≈30 hrs/week) Back of House (BOH) team members who enjoy physical, active work and love keeping things spotless. This position combines light kitchen prep (making smoothies, nut milks, and beverage bases) with daily dishwashing, café cleaning, and closing duties. You’ll help ensure our kitchen, bar, and guest areas stay clean, safe, and ready for the next day of service.
— Clean and maintain all café and kitchen areas throughout and after service, including floors, counters, tables, bathrooms, trash bins, and storage rooms.
— Perform end-of-day cleaning and closing duties: sweeping, mopping, sanitizing
surfaces, and restocking supplies.
— Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and equipment according to health and safety standards.
— Prepare smoothies, house-made nut milks, and other beverage components following BUDDY BUDDY's recipes.
— Receive and organize deliveries, rotate inventory, and help maintain a tidy basement storage area.
— Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines (NYC DOH compliance).
— Support the café team as needed during service and work collaboratively with baristas, hosts, and managers.
— Previous experience in cleaning, dishwashing, or kitchen prep preferred but not required.
— You enjoy physical, hands-on work and take pride in keeping spaces clean and organized.
— Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow cleaning and sanitation procedures carefully.
— Comfortable standing for long hours and lifting up to 40 lbs.
